Source- He was a pension witness for Anderson Whitaker, 1913, June 10. Says he was present when Whitaker was sworn into the Confederate Army, the last of February, 1864 on Quicksand Creek, near the Round Bottom in Breathitt County.  Jones says he remained with Whitaker fourteen months until they were paroled at Louisa about May 9, 1865.
