Here are a few images from Hike Four. We hiked a reversed hike in April due to the parking situation at Heidelberg. We covered 35+ miles for the weekend and had the chance to enjoy a pleasant stay at Logo Linda. Hike Four offered Teams Boone, Sheltowee, Trace, and Turtle over three weekends.
The hikes saw every imaginable kind of weather. Snow, sleet, heat, sun, clouds, rain, high water, wind, hail, and about everything in between over the three weekends but there were still smiles. There were a few minor issues with dogs, but the new drop-off point on Cressmont Road helped hikers avoid the worst of them.
In all, Hike Four offered a little bit of everything, but the most essential part of Hike Four was the opportunity to walk, talk, and make new friends or just strengthen the relationships that the trail is building. Most importantly, we go the worst of the road hikes completed- the Heidelburg “Death March” is finished, and we survived. I look forward to seeing everyone in Hike Five.
A short video of what most Team Boone hikers experienced- wind, rain, snow, and sleet.
